Jakob Norgaard Mortensen om store oplevelser - Great experiences

Great experiences

15. September 2021

There are many different systems for handling ticket sales and customer data, where you can gather knowledge about your users. Other systems can help with access control, and others in turn provide cash registers. There are plenty of systems.

But first and foremost, it’s about creating great experiences with family and friends. That is what happens when people have a good day at a sporting event, a concert, or visiting a museum or amusement park. The prerequisite for success is that the organisers have good tools and can focus on the main task: the events they arrange for their customers.

The role of Venue Manager is to make that possible.

We can do this by providing all the necessary solutions from ticket sales to access control to cash registers to an app where people can follow events, book activities, buy food, and get messages from sponsors. But in fact, it is not “all those solutions”. They are all integrated so that they work as one solution. Everything plays together to make it easy and valuable for the user – the venues that create the experiences for their guests.

And it’s about far more than just IT systems. They must be used. Any organiser is happy when they see a crowded stadium or a lot of people frolicking in an amusement park or at a concert. So we at Venue Manager are not interested in just delivering systems. We care more about them being used and providing value to our customers.

So, we help with that too, translating data into valuable, actionable insights. Thinking about how the business can be expanded when you have a platform where you know the customers’ behaviour and can get in touch with them before, during, and after an event. We can’t do it for you. You know your business best. But we can come up with the solutions and help you use them. The solutions can help you increase earnings, reduce costs, improve customer loyalty, enhance the experience.

Make it possible to create great experiences for your customers.

The supporters and fans are modern tribes, with symbols, rituals, songs and artifacts. Ignoring that in the digital transformation from paper tickets to mobile ticketing, from printed game magazines to online blogs etc. could damage the fans loyalty.

  • Sales modelling customer journeyDigitalization is profoundly changing sales modelling16. March 2023 - 11:27

As up till now, sales modelling has focused on the patterns of groups and segments, but the technology allows for individual fitted sales models. Paradigm is switching from understanding customers, to understanding one customer at a time. Modelling the sale of ice-cream would most likely indicate that the majority buys more ice-cream when the temperature is high, and that has been effective knowledge, but what about that one person that buys an ice-cream every time he has been to the dentist, no matter the temperature?

  • Data ownershipHow data ownership is defined, and indications that you might not have it.8. February 2023 - 14:10

Full data ownership has, for various reasons, become increasingly important in the ticketing industry. Wanting and demanding full data ownership is however not the same as actually obtaining it.
