Sharing Knowledge
15. December 2021
For several years Venue Manager has held network meetings for several clubs. These were paused when COVID-19 made it impossible to meet physically, but the value of gathering to discuss challenges, ideas, and opportunities was revived in November.
– We are proud to be able to bring together so many different clubs, says Business Director Peter Richardt about the meeting. There were 30 participants from sports such as basketball, ice hockey, football, and both women’s and men’s handball.
The idea of the network meetings is first and foremost that customers will be sharing what is important to them. For example, loyalty was a major topic at the November meeting. How audience is maintained, both as spectators and buyers of food, drink, and merchandise; how to build audience, and what is needed to support that effort. Here, very concrete wishes for Venue’s solutions were expressed.
At the same time, Venue Manager could present what’s new with both software and hardware solutions. As well as sharing short- and long-term plans. This enables participating clubs to influence development.
The unique thing about the network meetings is that people think freely and loudly in a room with several sports represented, sharing different experiences – and then the fact that clubs that are otherwise tough competitors on the court or the ice can easily sit side-by-side and exchange ideas and experiences. They have a common interest in developing the audience of sports clubs, not least, increasing loyalty. There will be ongoing work in this area.
