Winnder of the E-commerce award

At the e-commerce award on Thursday 19 May 2022, Dansk Erhverv was once again the host, which is the e-commerce industry’s answer to the Oscar or Grammy awards.
Over 800 nominees, industry professionals and guests were thus gathered at the presentation of the e-commerce award. It was a blast of an event with lots of confetti, cheers and happy winners.
One of the latter was our good collaborators from the Metal League. They were nominated in the category Best subscription solution for their UNLIMITED HOCKEY concept, which is the first of its kind in Denmark.
The award-winning concept
In short, the concept is an alternative to the traditional season ticket. Here, as a fan, you are instead offered a subscription that gives access to virtually all professional ice hockey in the country – a concept we have previously discussed.
The jury was very enthusiastic about the unique concept, and says, among other things, that: “… The Metal League has created a ticket revolution with over 25% growth in the number of season ticket holders.“.
In addition: “They are the first to have managed to create a professional ticketing system across all clubs. Other sports can only be envious of the concept.”
We are particularly happy about those reasons here at Venue Manager. We are the ones who have delivered this unique solution. In close cooperation with the Metal Ligaen, we have managed to tackle the complexity of such an ambitious project across the country’s hockey clubs, explains Jakob Norgaard Mortensen, director at Venue Manager:
“Some of our very basic ambitions and promises to customers are that our solution must generate increased revenue – and that end users must experience a strong and coherent customer journey throughout. Therefore, we are of course super proud that UNLIMITED has proven to be a huge success across an entire league in practice – and that this prestigious award now underlines the solution’s strengths.”
Cooperation is the way to success
The Unlimited concept differs from our regular ticket system. The task of creating a system that is so different and innovative required a strong collaboration between us and the Metal League. A collaboration that offered plenty of advice and knowledge sharing to understand and adjust all necessary components for the system to function as it does now.

It is one thing to be able to handle a traditional ticket setup, another is the ability to understand and from there set and adjust so that such an innovative and different concept as Unlimited can be handled. Throughout the construction process of Unlimited, we have had an interested and enormously competent partner in Venue Manager. Incidentally, it is far from the first time that Venue Manager has been honored at the E-commerce award.
Both in cases with Smukfest and AGF, we have thus been at the top of the podium in recent years for some refined solutions based on the very same platform, which UNLIMITED has now also brought to the fore.
